Lek Seafood @ Chong Nonsi

By the rate of me blogging I think it will take up the whole year just for me to finish my Bangkok entries.... hehe

What to do? Busy mah as always

I really love Bangkok - the food, the taxis, the malls, their markets, their really cheap alcohol, public transportation ..... minus the traffic jam of cos. Before I embark on this journey, I did extensive research on Bangkok and I even did A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION PRINT OUT on the places to go (map), how to go, information about those places and their public transportation map. My team members were very cooperative as Ian, Greg and Jasmine worked on the itenery so that we know what to do and where to go.

I spotted this review about 'Lek Seafood' just below Chong Nonsi station (Silom BTS line) from a few bloggers and they raved about the food. From Platinum Mall, we had some difficulties getting to the Silom line (nearest would be Siam station @ Siam Paragon). Our legs were too sore and too tired to walk all the way there so we hailed 2 tuk-tuks (one for we 3 sisters, the other one for Greg, Ian and Jasmine). Both tuk-tuks were racing with each other and they drove so recklessly and dangerously almost wanting to get all of us killed. Nevertheless, it was one of the most awesomest moments in Bangkok .... u should have seen how freaked out that Greg was!

Mr. Crazy Tuk Tuk Driver

Look at how tired we were after a whole day of shopping

Lek Seafood @ Chong Nonsi

Bottled soft drinks are always popular here... they seldom use canned ones

Very awesome Tom Yum Goong! Tom Yums here are cooked with a tinge of coconut milk unlike the ones served in Malaysia.

Stir-fried Paku Pakis (Fern)

Stir Fried Broccoli with Prawns

BBQ Squids

Sizzling Hot Plate Oyster With Eggs (Oh Chien)

Stir Fried Pork with Oyster Sauce

Deep Fried Pork Ribs

The total bill for 6 persons was THB 1,010 only! Which is equivalent to RM 112! So cheap right! I think it's quite difficult to get that kinda food at that price in Malaysia, plus the food must be good too!

So, if you are in Bangkok, do give this place a visit. It's really simple to get there. If you are at Chong Nonsi station and you found a 7-11 store below there, you are at the right direction as Lek Seafood is just a few steps away from it.

I thought it was so-so only. The Coke was a great thirst quencher and heat relief though.
