Having being absent from my blog for damn long, I find myself dragging myself to update it anymore but from my latest trips to Thailand, I find it really difficult to look for information on hotels there. Apart from the pictures and information from their websites and Trip Advisor, there are no other information and actual pictures available.
And for twice, I stayed in both hotels as stated from the websites and Trip Advisor are incorrect and NOT TRUE at all! It's really disturbing... don't you think? Why can't people stay in hotels, blog about it so that we (visitors to be) can read more about the hotels?!
Anyway, after doing extensive research and all, the four of us settled for Pavillion Queen's Bay as they were running on a 'Stay 3 Nights Get 1 More Night Free' and Free shuttle to and from airport for THB 6,000 (abour RM 660) per room. According to the website and Trip Advisor, the hotel is a little secluded but it takes only 5-10 minutes walk to the Ao Nang Beach ( the populated area), so we gave it a shot! Considering other nearer hotels to the beach, it was beyond our budget.
The driver waiting for us patiently at the Krabi Airport
In Krabi, most hotels and their excursions use Vans like this
At the Hotel Lobby, we were greeted with very Thai-style decoration
The sofa at the lobby while waiting for the check in process
Beach/Pool-Towel Counter @ the lobby
Outside the lobby heading towards the pool
The shower area before entering the pool
The infinity edge pool
The hotel isn't very new therefore some of the paint job is already quite old... but boleh tahan
The three levels of Infinity Edge Pool
Superior Room @ Pavillion Queen's Bay
The Bed
The day bed
My dressing table... hehe
The small little TV and complementery drinking water in glass bottles
The Bathroom
The washing basin, also equipped with hair dryer
The toiletries must-haves - Shampoo, Bath Gel, Lotion
The 'big and small' business cubicle is a little too small.. one may feel suffocated when spending too much time inside
Not many hotels in Krabi offer Bathtubs. This is the most affordable hotel with a bathtub
Shower Area... the water pressure in the shower area is not only strong but the hot water is really HOT!
The Balcony
The balcony is big and spacious
The 'stimmest' place to be is of course the swing @ The balcony ... a place where you can relax and lie down at, or have your friends over for drinks and chit chatting at night
While the room is big, comfy and the service is good, somehow our room has this musky smell. It's like it has been occupied for a long time... but it's bearable. As long as we open up the sliding doors for some fresh air, it's okay....
I would say the 1 and only big thing I dislike about this hotel is the distance to the Ao Nang Beach area. Not only the road is dark and quiet, it's a very long walk... probably 20 minutes per way! (Their so called 5-10 mins walk is from the hotel till the unhappening end of Ao Nang beach only). However, the hotel provides free van shuttle to Ao Nang Beach everyday (I think it's every 1pm, 4 pm and 7pm) and to get back to the hotel, you gotta hail a Tuk-Tuk @ THB 20 (abour RM 2.20) flat rate per person. No matter if you have 2 persons or 4 persons, the rate is still THB 20 per person. We spent most of the money on food and also tuk-tuks to get back to the hotel which is not worth it cos it's flat rate! Btw, food is quite pricey in Krabi as they have a lot of Itallian, Indian and other cuisines as compared to their local thai food.
My biggest discvery in Krabi is that KRABI IS A MUSLIM PLACE with almost 70% of their population are Muslims!! (so Pork is not available everywhere... it's quite scarce)

Guess you had a great time at your mini honeymoon ;)
Believe you don’t mind to tie the knock soon but doubt your bf will agree to it.
